Port of Falmouth is located in Falmouth, the capital of the parish of Trelawny, and home to one of the Caribbean's best preserved Georgian towns with buildings dating from the nineteenth century. Falmouth was a wealthy town in a wealthy parish and the most important region of Jamaica for the sugar and rum trade at that time.

Among being one of the original ports in Jamaica, it was one of the busiest trading ports in the Caribbean, shipping sugar, molasses, rum and coffee bound for England.

Today it stands as a redeveloped world-class cruise ship port destination and commercial development centre listed on the Western Caribbean cruise itinerary. At the Port of Falmouth you may find a nice array of entertainment and services including retail stores, shops, fast food restaurants, craft market with local artisans and artistes creative art pieces etc.

Inspired by a rich Georgian architectural history, an eclectic mix of colonial, warehouse, kiosk, and open-air market architecture makes the Historic Port of Falmouth come alive for visitors, providing a rich and interesting destination experience. The historically-based design gives visitors and locals alike a glimpse back in time-- to the West Indies of yesteryear.

Capitalizing on Falmouth's rich history and Georgian architecture, the Historic Port of Falmouth utilizes local woods, limestone, brick, and corrugated metals in its design.
